Simple Mead Recipe (5 gallons):

10 lbs quality wildflower honey

Champagne or sweet mead yeast

5 tsp Yeast nutrient (optional)

approx. 3-4 gal water

Dissolve honey in water at 90 deg. F,

to achieve O.G. of approx 1.100-1.120

add yeast nutrient, pitch yeast,

Ferment approx 2 months in primary,

rack and ferment approx 4 months in secondary

(it may be necessary to rack again depending on

fermentation conditions and temperatures)

When mead is completely finished, bottle and

age forever.
